Today's Farmer magazine is the voice of MFA Incorporated, a Missouri-based farm supply and marketing cooperative with customers in five states. Each issue contains feature articles examining techniques and issues that help farmers and ranchers better meet the challenges of agriculture.
In addition, the magazine publishes general-interest feature stories along with technical columns by members of MFA's staff agronomists, nutritionists and veterinarians. It also features opinion columns from MFA’s CEO and Today’s Farmer editor, award-winning journalist Allison Jenkins.
MFA customers are the best farmers in Missouri and surrounding states. More than simply customers, our readers are customers who view MFA as a trusted business partner for products and services in the territory. However, the magazine isn't simply mailed to MFA customers. Today's Farmer is a paid subscription magazine. The subscription is either paid by customers or by MFA store managers, who have day-to-day interaction with farmers in their area.
Today's Farmer circulation is comprised of farm-level decision makers. We say that with authority because we have a unique method for maintaining our mailing list. We don't rely on readers filling out subscription questionnaires. Managers of MFA's Agri Services Centers select specific farmers and ranchers in their communities who actually make management decisions on agricultural purchases. Our managers have a financial impetus for keeping the list accurate: they pay for the customers on their list. They have the authority to add and delete names. It's no coincidence that our circulation mirrors the numbers of farmers ranked by value of substantial agricultural marketings in MFA's sales territory. That is to say Today’s Farmer readers actively buy the products you sell.
MFA's agricultural sales total more than $1 billion annually. Those sales include crop protection products, feed, animal health products, farm supply and plant foods. MFA employs a marketing strategy of its own that, depending on the product, could provide an opportunity to leverage your message with a like campaign.
